Welcome to Photos by M Kaynard and C L Bledsoe. Originally this site was called "At Street Level." The photos displayed were an expression of my perspective of architecture, landscapes, objects and nature. My photographic interests began in earnest while walking the streets of Charleston, SC.
As with many photographers our interests can change. This helps keep our work fresh. This past year I have spent a great deal of time in the Audubon Swamp at Magnolia Plantation. My love of Old Sheldon Church near Yemassee, SC resulted in my finding Tomotley Plantation. There I was lucky to capture what I consider my favorite photo. My wife (C L Bledsoe) has accompanied me frequently as I looked for new images to capture. Over the past few years she has developed into quite a good photographer. Accordingly, I now show her work on this site. She brings a breath of freshness to "our" site with her special abilities.
I decided not to exhibit during 2013 but, will be showing in the Saul Alexander Gallery (the month of January 2014) at the Charleston County Public Library Main Branch. The show is called "The Beauty of the Swamp."
As much as I love Charleston, it is important to grow in your profession. Follow me and C L Bledsoe as we add new works. Your comments and testimonials are welcome.
When in Charleston, visit me and see my prints at the W. Hampton Brand Gallery, 114 East Bay Street across from famous Rainbow Row. Contact number is 843-412-2299.
